5 good reasons to drink Lauretana

It helps our body purify
14 mg/l of fixed residue. Thanks to this value Lauretana is the lightest water in Europe! What is the advantage for our body? A low fixed residue facilitates a high diuresis, helping our body eliminate the residues of metabolism as urea and creatinine.

It helps prevent kidney stones
On the labels of mineral waters, hardness is measured in French degrees (°f). Lauretana hardness is only 0,60, a very low value indicating a very small presence of salts in the water, as calcium and magnesium. This means that Lauretana water belongs to the so-called “sweet“ waters and its consumption is ideal to prevent kidney stones.

3. pH

It helps digestion and prevents oxidation
With a pH of 6.0, Lauretana water is indicated by the experts of molecular chemistry as “lightly acid“. What does this value mean for our body? It means that Lauretana water offers two important advantages: from one side it helps digestion, from the other it contributes to prevent the process of oxidation. But to calculate the effect of a foodstuff on the acid-base balance of the body you mustn’t consider its pH but the so called potential renal acid load (PRAL). Lauretana water thanks to its particular composition and its low mineral content is slightly alkalizing (PRAL -0.7 mEq/d) but near the neutrality, as in its nature of light water.

It helps appreciate nature
Lauretana water is a water of great purity, the source, situated at high altitude, is fed by glaciers, therefore far from dumps, industrial plants, livestock farming or other sources of pollution, both chemical or of other sources, thus permitting to have a water free from nitrates and contaminants so that it is not necessary to treat or filter it.

It helps the diuresis and the body balance
The western diet is extremely rich in sodium, a low sodium water is therefore indicated to reestablish the right balance to the body. Besides standing out for the lowest fixed residue in Europe, Lauretana is a low sodium water (only 0,88 mg/l) and therefore ideal for low sodium diets. Moreover, it stimulates diuresis and at the same time helps hydration.
