“I have known LAURETANA for some years and after studying its physicochemical characteristics and the physiological effects, I always advise it in the diets for losing weight and for the athletes. I advise it to my patients because a water with such a low fixed residue permits an excellent water balance stimulating the diuresis, eliminating the sodium in excess and it also helps fight the so called cellulite (PEFS). With this water also patients who usually reported difficulties in drinking an adequate quantity of daily liquids, are able to introduce the right dose, thanks to its lightness. I use it daily also for its undeniable organoleptic qualities“.

“I use Lauretana and I advise it to my patients while recommending them not only to drink during meals but also in the morning when they get up. The night-time sleep indeed is the longest period of abstinence from food and in the morning, as soon as we wake up, drinking about half a liter of water is necessary for a physiological intense purification. The extraordinary low fixed residue enables Lauretana to have an almost immediate absorption; this is a similar effect as an intravenous infusion. The tendency to find rapidly a balance between solvents (water) and solutes (proteins, metabolic waste products, nitrogen waste as urea and ammonium, uric acid) helps the solutes enter the bloodstream and facilitates the kidney function increasing the growth of the circulating volume so that the by-products of metabolism will pass through the urine for an effective purification. A high tech gift of nature to protect and promote health“.

“To understand the importance of water in the athlete we must consider that the human body is constituted by water for almost two thirds of its body weight; besides during the performance of a moderate sports activity, perspiration determines the loss of about 1-2 liters per hour and, in particular climate conditions (warm-humid) this quantity still increases. For this reason the protection of the athlete’s health starts with a correct rehydration, that is the consumption of at least 2-3 liters of water per day. The organoleptic and physicochemical characteristics of Lauretana water, thanks to its low fixed residue (14 mg/l), to the slightly acid pH (6) and the low content of sodium (0,88 mg/l) make it a mineral water particularly advised for a daily and abundant use. Such characteristics as a matter of fact favor a good kidney function and the digestive process contributing to reactivate rapidly the metabolic homeostasis in the athlete at the end of the intense training sessions”.

“The kidney stones represent 15-20% of the nephro urological diseases. The mineral water therapy with low mineral content waters is of fundamental importance in the programs of prevention and prophylaxis of relapses. In this sense it is demonstrated the need to drink at least 2 liters of water distributed throughout the day. If the content of minerals in a water is low, its efficacy in the prevention of kidney stones increases. Lauretana mineral water, for ionic composition, with very low salt content and concentration of minerals (fixed residue of only 14 mg/l), belongs to the group of the waters classified as waters with a low mineral content. Therefore it is particularly advised in cases where it is necessary an adequate and correct quantity of water for the prevention of kidney stones, particularly in a person metabolically predisposed and in the prevention of the relapses after treatment”.

“The fixed residue is the quantity of minerals, indicated in milligrams per liter, that remain in a liter of water after boiling at 180° C. The lowest the fixed residue, the lightest the water. A light water is more beneficial for the body since it favors more rapidly the diuresis. The total hardness of a water is indicated in (°F) and indicates the quantity of salts of calcium and magnesium contained. If the values of hardness are very low, the water is defined “sweet“ and it is preferred to the “hard” ones, that are contra-indicated in several medical pathologies, for example kidney and hepatic stones. Lauretana with a total hardness of only 0,60 °F , does not present any side-effects in the daily use.
Sodium. Mineral waters with a low sodium content are preferable. Lauretana with its sodium concentration of 0,88 mg/l is therefore indicated in the low sodium diets and there aren’t any side-effects in people with arterial hypertension.”

“We often think that water is important in human nutrition for the contribution of minerals it contains; actually the function of water is essential for the hydration of the tissues, for the transport, for the organic purification and for the thermoregulation. But to carry out these functions to the best the opposite is true: the purity and the lightness of a water, that is the reduced quantity of minerals, are the most suitable characteristics to these processes. Indeed, the contribution of minerals is perfectly carried out by the flora that, through fruit and vegetable, supplies great quantities of salts and above all easily digestible. The value revealing this quality of the water is indicated on all the labels and it is the fixed residue at 180 °C. This important value should be less than 30-40 mg/l and anyway the lowest it is, the lightest is the water... another characteristic that should help us when choosing the “ideal” water is pH: indeed a slightly pH, included between 5,5-6, undoubtedly favors digestion.”
